Dear Madam,
Actually DV case is to be filed one year of desertion but it differs from background of each case. You need not worry about the limitation since it is a continuous cause of action and you have not went out of the house voluntarily but your mother-in-law thrown you out of the matrimonial house.

There is no legal hurdle to file DV Act case even after passing of one year. DV Act case consist even maintenance, shelter/home and many other reliefs so you may go ahead as desired.

Yes you can file a DV case even now since it is a continuous offence.
You have been thrown out of your matrimonial home and they refuse to allow you inside hence they are deemed to have committed crime against you.
You can claim protection, residence, maintenance, compensation and return of your articles in the DV case.

Well advised by experts, move to Court in a complaint case under the provisions of Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 for appropriate relief.
You should consult and engage a local prudent lawyer to appreciate facts, advise professionally and proceed.
