Dv case - hearing changed to show cause

In a DV case against me, my Advocate informed me that he has taken adjournment but case has moved from Hearing to SHOW CAUSE as the purpose of hearing.

What does this means and what should be done next.

You have to clarify the local procedural issues with your own advocate because without knowing the case details any opinion given here will be a misguidance.

My Advocate failed to appear on the date of hearing and the case hearing has moved to Show Cause. Is it ok to chamnge the Advocate at this stage and how should the issue be addressed.

You have full rights to change your advocate even at the last moment i.e., before presenting the final arguments too.
