Please help me to advise the next action i could take against a e-commerce company - www.hushbabies.com
I have placed a prepaid plan diaper with them. I tried to call them many times but their phone is switched off.
I have taken the '9 month Subscribe to Save' plan from Hush Babies for diapers in May 2013 where I had paid Rs. 6300 upfront and placed diapers order in May. The May order was fine (though it arrived a week later). But an order I placed on July 1 2013 has still not been received.
There is a scam going on for the diapers by Hushbabies. They deliberately keep the diapers out of stock so that you have no other choice other than subscribing to their diaper program (Subscribe-to-Save). When I called them and inquired, I came to know that you have to pay for 9 months subscription (Rs 6300) upfront!!! and irrespective of the status shown "out of stock", the diapers will be delivered to you in 3-5 working days!
Also, it is impossible to get anyone on the customer support number.
This subscription plan seems to be a scam to collect money upfront and then conveniently avoid providing service.
This company is either out there to swindle people or it is definitely about to shutdown. They have stopped taking any phone call or responding to emails for more than a month now.
I am subscribe to save customer and paid rs. 6300 in advance, they have refused to take orders in this scheme now and there seems to be no chances to get my money back.
Please advise & help!
