Can an educational trust build temple

It depends on the trust deed conditions of the trust, if there is a mention about such activities to be undertaken by the education trust then the trust members can in a meeting can pass a resolution for funding to build a temple out of the funds of the trust

What are the terms mentioned in the Trust Deed? The trust deed can fund a temple if it has such terms/clauses. But you show the deed to a local lawyer and get advice.
