Election rules in a charitable trust

I am member of a religious trust in Mumbai. We have been following a procedure of Election for the Managing Committee - year on year. If we need to change the methododlogy of election of the Members of the Managing committee, is it necessary to take permission of the Registrar of Trusts or the approval of the Charity Commission? Else what is the process.

For change in election pattern in your religious trust, you have to take permission from Charity commissioner. Refer Bombay Public Trust Act.
