Emergent notice

(Querist) 11 April 2012 This query is : Resolved
I have received an emergent notice from highcourt. They have asked me to appear along with lawyer within 5 days.

I am out of station and due to personal work , i can not go by this week to court. Also i need some time to find a suitable high court lawyer.

Can i send a letter to court register about my position and asked for some more time.

What shall i do ?

Pls advise

if you are out of station your lawyer can appear for you . 5 days is sufficent time to engage a lawyer . ask your relatives to do the needful . you can send letter to registry if you so desire

simply appear through your lawyer and seek time to appear on next date with appropriate documents.

Nothing left to add.

Engage a lawyer, if you can not file a vakalatnama, he can give memo of presence and take a fresh date.

Yes. You can engage a lawyer through your family or friends to appear on the specific date. The lawyer will appear and take time for your personal attendance.

Get a lawyer by family friend and said lawyer can appear in high court by filing
MEMO OF APPEARANCE on ur behalf and can take a date in ur case.

If notice is served up on you then you must do some thing in response either after engaging a temporary lawyer or by informing your inability to attend the court on date fixed.
