Dear All,
Employer has hold last 03 months Maternity Salary of an employee who is on Maternity leave an she is working on Managerial position in Sales department . She asked the reason for holding her salary but they replied that company policy has changed. As per Maternity Benefit Act, employer can not hold Maternity salary of an employee. Her office is in Andheri. Where she has to complaint again employer? Where? is there any complaint letter draft? Please share with me.

Salary of an employee on maternity leave cannot be withheld. You can approach the designated competent authority under the provisions of the Maternity Benefits Act, 1961, as amended in 2017.and rules made thereunder.
