Just wanted to know if there are any compulsary policies regarding encashment of leaves during resignation or does it vary from company to company.

Leave encasement policies are compulsory for all companies during resignation.They are Uniform.

My wife works in an organization from where she has just resigned and is currently serving a notice period. Her organization says that leaves cannot be encashed . Kindly suggest , how can she approach the HR and resolve the same amicably.

The leave rules of the company or if the company do not have any such rules then the common law in this regard will be applicable.
