Hi experts,
Can you pls help me with this issue!
Does hotels or restaurants (not resorts or the one polluting lakes and river beds) come within the purview of Pollution laws? If so what is the express or implied provision in this regard?

The Hotel management has to get the following clearances from SPCB
1. Consent to establish
2. Consent to operate
under the provisions of Water Act and Air Act

Though it seems as an academic query, I understood, from the profile, that the Author is an Advocate.
It is normal to get the knowledge by an Expert from another.
So, if anybody knows about the subject matter, they can share their knowledge and experiences.

Guess my query was too general.I know restaurants gotta get clearance from PCB but my question is on 'domestic sewage'.
Btw prior to 2012 restaurants were categorised under 'orange' industry. I wanna know the current categorisation and regulation relating to domestic sewage.
Can you be specific with any recent decision by NGT on this issue?
