(Querist) 10 May 2012 This query is : Resolved 
if a employee came under ESI contribution and later his gross salary cross Rs.15000, then now he is still liable to contribution or not?

plz suggest me.

To my knowledge, once in ESI, a fixed period[ say 9 months] are locked up, and he is entitled to get benefit, as well as liable to contribute. Asl Welfare, or ur personnel Dept to clarify . If sal increases, after that fixed period, no further contribution.

The contribution should be continued till the contribution period..that is 1st April to 30th Sept and 1st Oct. to 31st March after that it should be stopped.
