what is evidentary value of a photocopy of an affidavit in consumer forum which original is not available.

Whether provisions of Evidence Act are strictly applicable to Consumer Forum.

Photocopy/xerox do not have any significant evidentiary value so far.

Sec 1, Indian Evidence Act, 1872, to such extent the affidavits are not come under the applicability of Act, so it is not strictly applicable to Consumer Forum.
