Execution of renewal of lease prior to expiry date

Dear Experts,

Would it be valid to execute the lease document in todays date in stamp paper which stated effective from march 2011 i.e. after one year and after the expiry of the existing lease agreement ?

It is valid from the date of execution of the lease deed or as mentioned in the lease agreement. If you want to extend the lease period one year before its expiry, there is nothing wrong in it. But the other party should accept it.

Will there be any legal complication in terms of executing the document during the subsistance of the earlier agreement and the time gap between the execution date and the effective date after one year from execution ?
