Exempted - Mediacl reimbursement

Dear Expert,
I collect medical bill from my staff and pay them medical reimbursement. As per law 15000/- p.a. is exempted but are there any rules which say it has to be given every month. Cant it be paid yearly ? if i receive a single bill upto 15000/- in a year is it exempted and can i pay at once ?

yes exempt up to maximum of Rs.15000/- p.a. According to your convinient you can receive a bill, it is your adjustment.

Yes you can do it infact a medical allowance is taxable whereas reimbursement of expenditure upto 15000 PA is fully exempt under IT laws

The medical reimbursement is exempted provided it is supported by relevent bills as proof. The payment can be paid monthly or annually.

REGARDING MEDICAL BILLS REIMBURSEMENTS KINDLY NOTE THAT.

1.REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL BILLS IS A STAFF WELFARE SCHEME.KINDLY NOTE THAT STAFF MEMBERS WHO ARE SINCERELY WORKING FOR YOU AND YOUR ORGANISATION MAY SOMETIMES NEED MEDICAL HELP AND MAY RESULT IN MEDICAL EXPENSES OF MINOR OR MAJOR AMOUNTS.
2.KINDLY FURTHER NOTE THAT ENTIRE FAMILY OF YOUR STAFF WHICH INCLUDE HIS OLD PARENTS AND WIFE / HUSBAND AND SCHOOL AND COLLEGE GOING CHILDREN DEPEND ON THE EMPLOYEE FOR DAY TO DAY REQUIREMENTS OF FOOD FINANCE AND SAFETY AND FOR MONTHLY FIXED AND VARIABLE EXPENSES.
3.DUE TO SUDDEN MEDICAL EXPENSES OF EMPLOYEE THE ENTIRE MONTHLY BUDGET OF THE FAMILY OF EMPLOYEE MAY GET DISTURBED RESULTING IN HARDSHIPS TO ENTIRE FAMILY.
4.KINDLY NOTE THAT YOU AS AN EMPLOYER CAN MAKE PAYMENT EITHER MONTHLY OR ANNUALLY.BUT KINDLY REMEMBER THAT IT IS A FAMILY WELFARE SCHEME TO REIMBURSE THE MEDICAL EXPENSES TO THE EMPLOYEE.IT WILL DEVELOP MORE CONFIDENCE AND GOOD LABOUR RELATIONS BETWEEN EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE AND RESULT IN MORE PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFIT FOR YOUR ORGANISATION IF YOU TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES WHO ARE SICK.
5 HENCE I SUGGEST AND ADVISE YOU TO KINDLY CONSIDER THIS AS A WELFARE SCHEME FOR EMPLOYEES AND REIMBURSE THE MEDICAL EXPENSES TO EMPLOYEES ON REGULAR MONTHLY BASIS AND HELP THE POOR FAMILIES OF YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES WHO ARE WORKING HARD FOR SUCCESS OF YOUR ORGANISATION.IT WILL INCREASE THEIR PRODUCTIVITY AND GIVE YOU GOOD RESULTS WHICH WILL EARN YOU REPUTATION AND GOODWILL AND ALSO INCREASE YOUR PROFITABILITY AND HELP REDUCE YOUR MARGTINAL COST.KINDLY NOTE.
6 I HAVE STUDIED LABOUR WELFARE LAWS SINCERELY AND CAN ASSURE YOU THAT MONTHLY REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES TO YOUR SICK AND NEEDY EMPLOYEES WILL CREATE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR EMPLOYEES AND WILL BE DEFINETELY USEFUL FOR YOU IN YOUR TOUGHTIMES TO FACE SEVERE COMPETITION FROM FOREIGN COMPANIES AND OTHER COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE.
