Have you represented the Chief Election Officer of your state, as the reference in letter goes back to 15 years? Election Officer of your area might not have been able to lay hand on the original letter.

Also, is there any reason for your objection to surrender your arms just for a few days of temporary ban during election period? Moreover, when you have already filed a writ petition for what you are seeking opinion of experts, as by the time your writ is decided the temporary ban of EC would already have been over since long.

Let the court decide the matter on merit. You have a good case in your favor.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 10 April 2014
wait for the the disposal of your writ petition, because that will have an answer for your future too.
