Expediting 498a and dv cases

(Querist) 15 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hello Experts,

Wife filed 498A and then after DV. 498A has been chargesheeted and yet to come on board. DV first date is in this month.

Can we file single petition for expediting these two cases in HC ?

Is this practice acceptable in Guj HC ?

Approximately how much would it cost ? ( the application for expediting cases)

Please suggest.

Thank you.

you will have to file separate petitions .

why you want to expedite the hearing ? unless you make out a prima facie case court wont expedite .

cost would depend upon standing of lawyer in gujrat high court .

Ajay sir,

Parents health have been deteriorated to great extent after 498A has been filed. Probably early completion of cases may get them in pink health again.

you can seek exemption from personal appearnce untill further orders from trial court

What makes you to expediate the cases?Fight your case with merits in the lower court itself.

I doubt that with so much pendency your case can be expediated, without any just reasons.

Still you can try your luck in Article 21 of Indian Constitution by going to HC.
