Is it possible that a second FIR may be filed in a 498A case. I have secured AB in 498A case is there a possibility that again a FIR can be registered by my inlaws and wife on some other pretext.

there will not be a second FIR out of the same incident and under the same offence....however, if some new offence is detected during investigation of the first FIR the provisions for other offence will be added to the original FIR only.

Gulshan Tanwar (Expert) 17 March 2011
Second FIR is not maintainable...
