Verification of originals in govt office

Dear experts,
Please explain me, if i wanted to change some modification on some ceritificate, like birth certificate of my babay....
should i need to show the original proof to the concern authority....
is there is any law / ipc mentioning that we need to show the original....

Sear Sai,
There is a set procedure for all official formalities once the record of an employee is constructed. Mere intimation by an employee about any change would not suffice without a valid proof for such a change. The competent authority is also bound to verify the fact with reference to the original record with the employee.

What violation with reference to which type of service issue and in whose case?
Unless you state the real problem, if it happened in your own case, you should not expect the proper solution to the problem merely on hypothesis.
However, if you intend to act just to harm the interests of some one of your superior in some case not belonging to you, you should not expect the experts to help you to serve you in fulfilment of your ill intentions.

The exact problem is, On my baby certificate, my name was wrongly typed, (Actually its a spelling mistake).
After sometimes, it was corrected without knowledge of mine by father in law- (Its good)
But i didnt provide any of my original documents to made this correction, My question is When we do such correction in the government office, i Believe, the officer of the concern should very the original before making some changes.
In this case, i dint physically present nor my original are given, how could the correction was made, Matter some few rupees, anyone can change any name with help of corruption in india?

Corruption is beyond control, but you have not stated, how and with what concern with the organisation your father-in-law could get the spelling mistakes of your baby corrected? Also, if the spellings are correct now, what type of problem you actually are feeling on account of that?

its with corporation of chennai the change was made, my concern is if someone pay some manoey to the official for doing some document changes, without knowledge of the particular person,
what is the real control we have in government machinery?...

I want to file a case against such corrupted officials, not to do the such mistakes in the future, How can i file case against which law?
