Last night one of my elder brother got drunk in road he was taken into police custody .Police filed a petty case against him and he was released within 2 hours.No FIR was lodged .My query is what can b the consequences?and can there be any record against him with police?and he is going to join an mnc soon so can this cause a unfavorable background check result ?we are completely in dark .can you people help us

Your brother should had been more careful before committing the act, however, since it is a petty matter it will not affect him.

Only Govt deptts/PSU are allowed to get background check from police records. You say he is releavesed but also say that a case is filed. Please come clear with the facts.

no I mean no FIR was lodged by police and he was released .Police took the name and address in a white a paper. so can it create any problem and as I heard police told its under petty case @ Mr sudhir kumar

Police do all their action on white papers. They are not supplied or allowed to used coloured sheets.
Whether they have simply scribbled his name and address or they have prepared a bail bond on a white paper after booking him under a petty case.
