we gave some money to a person 3years back against their land papers, later they escaped form our colony, no address since 3years, recently they appeared in our local police station and gave a complaint against us.... p.s. SI called us. me and my mom went their, and met SI, later SI gave warning to us to return their land papers or else he will come to our home and take our landpapers and other valuable things and book our family under non bailable sections, this was 2days back, he asked us to come tomorrow, i requested that i have exam on tomorrow but he said if i dont attend he will arrest me, he took signs from us. i dont want to worry about my exam,i can write it after an year. but he used much bad words to my mom which made us to cry for 2days, i want to take legal action on him, i want to give a complaint against him for ACP OR HRC... can we face him?

was money paid byc ash or cheque? if land papers taken it amounts to an equitable mortgage . was any letter sent or received from mortgagor regarding land papers?
you cna complaint to supdt of police agsinst threats from inspector . address copy of letter to commr of police

we paid money by cash, we have documents regarding it like promisory notes and cheque...

we paid money by cash, we have documents regarding it like promisory notes and cheque... land amount equals the amount we gave 3years back, but amount doubled now, we have not sent any legal action against her in these 3years...

SI was saying that those persons have come from higher authority, i want to settle this case now.. he is forcing me to take 1lac, 2lac, 3lac...but we dint accept for anyting because of his words towards us. me and my mom stayed till 9PM in that station for that issue, he even took a complaint towards them against us..

better contact a local lawyer immediatedly .
problem is at time of giving money you should have executed written documents .
was it blank cheque? or cheque filled in with amounts ?
