I posted an Ad on OLX.in on 2 June 2013 offering for sale heritage LPs in my collection. I received 4 or 5 responses. I sent emails to people who responded asking if they could convert the LPs to CDs/DVDs, in which case I would offer the LPs free in exchange for the Cds/DVds. One gentleman from Bangalore offered to do this. He also offered to come personally to collect the LPs and return with the converted CDs/DVDs. I thought this was a good offer since it would not involve costs for courier charges. The person came to Mysore. He appeared to be a serious collector and lover of music, so I handed over my LPs (64 in number) to him on 20th or 21st of June. After a few weeks, I sent him an email asking why I had not received the promised converted CDs/DVDs. He replied that he was in Chennai and he would do the needful asap. I waited for some more weeks and when there was nothing coming from him, I sent him 2 or 3 emails and a few SMS. There was no response from him. I called his cell number several times. Each time, I am told the the number is busy. All I know of this person is: 1. His name: Vijay Krishna, 2. His email: asvkrishna@gmail.com, 3. He lives in Kengeri near Bangalore, 4. He works for a call centre, 5. His cell number is +918884229051. When I asked him for his home address, he said he would send it by SMS. This also has not come. Based on the above facts, I believe this person has defrauded me of my heritage collection of LP records. I have complained to OLX asking to help me to get back my LPs. They were not helpful. If indeed he is a fraudster, as I think he is, can a legal recourse help me to bring this man to book, and more importantly retrieve my records. Thanks. L J Haravu
