Dear sir,
We live in an apartment in Bangalore. The apartment is registered as joint owners between my wife and her Mother. Last May my mother in law passed on. Now I have two questions which need some clarifications.
1) How do I remove my mother in laws name in the sale deed. We have the death certificate.
2) We want to add my father in laws name in the same sale deed. How can we do this. What will be approximately the cost to do this.
Awaiting you response

1. you can not remove anybody's name from the sale deed.
2. It is not possible to include anyother name in that sale deed.
Your mother in law's legal heirs will have the right over the property owned by her.

Dear legal heir will be the husband or children. As per what understood, nothing has to be done with the sale deed. Will there be any situation where both the signatures are required and will we need to inform the subregistrar office about the death of one if the owners.

The legal heir and successor can register her share in the name of other person, registrar has no right to change or add or replace any line of a registered deed.
