May the daughter can claim father's property

(Querist) 03 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,
My father-in -law settled his property to his eldest son & youngest son as a sales deed before his death. But he has other three daughters. They have been deprived.
Both brothers have no relation with their sisters at present.
My question is whether they (sisters) can claim their right on their father's property. My father in law has expired 6 years ago.
Please advice me in this regard.
This property was belong to my mother in law. After expire of her all daughters & sons agreed to transfer the property in the name of my father in law. This was the history. Please advise accordingly.

If the questioned properly was self acquired properly of your father in law then your father in law had every right to transfer the same to any one as per his desire and no one has right to challenge the same but if the said properly is ancestral than daughters can claim their share as per law.

You are yet to tell us by what kind of deed
among heirs of your motherinlaw, the property was agreed to be exclusively transferred in name of one heir that was your fatherinlaw and if that deed was registered or not.

If it was a registered relinquishment or release orsettlement or gift or sale deed or was a decree of court then your fatherinlaw became absolute owner and a subsequent transfer by him to his sons or any body by registered sale deed would be valid
