Non paymentof rent

case is fixed for consideration and assessment of rent. case was filed 15 months back when tenant was in default and arrears were due for 10months. now rent for 25 months is due. tenant is dragging the case by misusing process of law. will court not ask him to deposit rent for atleast for the period from the date of suit filed.pl. advise

If you being petition insist before the court to direct the tenant to deposit the demanded rent then court shall also press for your demand and the demanded rent shall be got deposited by him. Moreover, non-deposit of rent within 15 days of the appearance of the tenant before the rent controller entitles you to get the property vacated on this sole ground.
