Who is the controlling authority and appellate authority(as per paymnet of gratuity act,1972) for payment of gratuity in public sector banks.

FOR PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS, THE ASST.LABOUR COMMISSIONER(CENTRAL) IS THE CONTROLLING AUTHORITY AND RLC(C) IS THE APPELLATE AUTHORITY

Where the 'appropriate government' is State government the the Act, the Assistant Labour Commissioner or the Labour-cum-Conciliation Officer of the area is The 'Controlling Authority' under the Payament of Gratuity Act, 1972.
