illegitimate child

One my friend(Indian) working in foreign country made illegal relation with one girl of that country(Not Indian).They got child. After 6 month age of child they solemanized marriage and got all legal documents. Now he wants to get Indian passport for that illegitimate child and bring child to India.Is it possible as per Indian Citizenship Act? What procedure he should follow?

What is the status of the child in that country? whether legitimate/illegitimate

The child is not illegitimate as per law in India, since after the birth of the child, the solemnisation of marriage between the parents happened

The child is the citizen of the country where he/she born. Till majority the child can live with parents in India. On majority the child will be deported to its own country.

Its better to contact the Indian embassy office situated in that country and ask about the formalities
