Urgent Case

(Querist) 19 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
A plot containing a street was sold by x to y along with the street. Y transfered this land to z through general power of attorney. now z blocked the street and divided the whole land into subplots. now x filed a suit aginst y,that she can not block the street. but according to my property dealer y has won the suit in her favor. can i get gpa transferred in my favour without any legal hassle? if yes, what precautions should i take?

Don't go by the version of any property dealer unless you personally see the decision of any case, as claimed to have been won by Y. Property dealers sole concern is only up to earning of his commission, legally or illegally. If the plot was not transferred with due registered sales deed, power of attorney would not bear the same legal status that obtained through a regular sales deed.
