Purchase of Agriculture Land

Dear Sir,

Is there any limit on Purchase of Agriculture Land in terms of ACRES or AMOUNT or otherwise by an

1) Individual (Under IT Act, 1961)
2) Company (Companies Act, 1956)
3) LPP (Limited Liability Partnership)

Seek your guidance, if there any restrictions under any act, please be elaborate what are the restrictions?

Also please tell what is BT and AL Act 1948 is all about?
