agreement for sale is not required to be compulsory registerable . such an agreement is not an instrument creating any right in immoveable property but creates a right in favour of vendeed to obtain sale deed .

as mentioned by experts this query was replied to on 5th march 2010

someone says that registration of agreement is compulsory as per the regisratin act.

Even in Gujarat also it is compusory,however if n o t then also your right to specific performance is not harmed.

You have to prove the genuineness of the same.
