Hello,
M having matrimonial dispute with my wife. She has just enrolled with bar council of Delhi. She used to write her surname of her father. is it correct to write her surname of her father instead of her husband.

Yes she can use her maiden surname as there is no law that which prohibits usage of maiden surname after marriage.

There is no law to regulate SIR names.
Then every thing is right.
Why do not you ask the finance ministry why for a PAN card a married lady is asked to write her fathers name???????and not that of her husband?????

There is no law which guide the principle of using surname. So she is entitle use any surname according to her choice

since there are no laws prohibiting the same,it is better to leave it as a personal liberty.
any further poking on this ground may lead to unnecessary turbulence in marital life.
gone are the days,wherein to expect a women after marriage to be known as "Mrs.X" only.
