Hi,I have purchase a resale flat. I have complete all the procedure of society. But by mistake,my earlier owner lost the share certificate. Please guide for the duplicate certificate.

how will society transfer flat in absence of share certifcate . ?

society will refuse to consider application for transfer unless original share certifcate has been produced .

the owner hasto make an application to society that share certifcate is lost. society will invite objections before issue of share certifcate . place it on notice board of society . also publish it in local newspapers

Your earlier owner should lodge a police complaint and should got publication in the news paper about the loss of the earlier share certificate and then you should produce all those documents with your indemnity bond to the society and wait for the decision and take next action accordingly.

Yes! let owner first, the loss be reported to police and let him publish the loss too, only then let him move to society and to obey directions of indemnity etc.
