Value tax

Father had bought a piece of land but never paid value tax. He died 2 years ago. Son wants to get mutation in his name. Will he face any trouble?

what ever may be the tax., just pay the arrears, then go to mutation.,

There is no property tax applicable on agricultural land so neither his father nor son has a liability to pay such tax.

You need not worry for tax just apply for mutation.

When the father dies naturally all the sons, daughters and widow of the father are entitle to property. If wealth tax is applicable then every individual has to pay on the portion he/she acquires.
