Dear Sir/Madam,
I will be thankful to you for reading and giving your valuable suggestions over my below query.
We are importing Dry Charge Batteries under Cartoon Packing, which technically means that it undergoes various operation before fitting to applications and hence it is not intended to sale in same state to end user.
My query is Does Legal Metrology Rules and Regulation applies in this state. ( We are importing, then selling to Distributor, Dealer. He do some processing like Putting Acid, Charging, etc to make it activated. Then it able to sell to End User.)
If yes, what parameters we have to follow like RSP, Importer name, address, Qty, Nature of Goods, Month/Year, etc.
My Second query is if we are importing no of goods in one pack, which is not direct intended for Retail Sales. First it goes to Distributor/Dealer, it sell to End user one by one. Is legal Metrology applies in this state...
If yes, then what we parameter we have to follow.

Have you optained import licence and got local sales tax. Number. If then you you need to keep agreement with your sub contractor for acid filling and pay the money by tds detection and all

Legal Metrology Act is a Central enactment. Rules also prescribed and came already into effect. It is applicable all over India.
