Hi All,
I have given a case to a lawyer regarding claiming the car from my father-in-law.
It has been 6 months but no steps has been taken from lawyer side. Even If I call him through phone he is not picking up. Every time I meet him he is telling some excuses.
So I am in a plan of looking for another lawyer. Kindly let me know will this lawyer create any problem to us?
We already paid 50% of the fees.

if he has already filed case you will need his NOC . if no case filed ask him to return the papers

Dear Dhanlakshmi
practicly you can change you advocate at any time when you think and engage another lawyer, but you required NOC from previous lawyer.

Any proof for having paid any fee? otherwise, it becomes very difficult to ask back the file and NOC.

No case have not been filed till now..but my concern is there any possibilities that he will file the case by himself inbetween the time I look for the another lawyer?
We strictly told that we want pull back our case...

ur verification in person is required while filing court case. So case is not filed.
Also get it searched thru local advocate, who will find out, any case filed by you or not
