you cna practise after you have completed your law course . join some senior in your city . but remember law has long gestation period . you have to slog hard for some years . if you dont want to practise you cna join a company as legal advisor

If it is 3 yesrs or 5 years law course then only you can do legal practice after completing said course.

If you want an appropriate answer, please give details for the following, one by one.

What do you mean by Academic law?
Which University is offering it?
What is the mode of teaching - either direct class or through distance education?
What is the duration of the course?
What is the eligibility condition for admission?
What is the reason for your doubt?'
Did you discuss with your co-students? If so, what is their view?

You cannot practice after this course.

You can not practise after this course.

I guess there used to be a bridge course, which has ceased to exist now.

If only you had given these details while posting your original query, Experts like Mr. Ajay Sethi and Mr. Nanda would not have given the answer which they gave.

I find that many of the querists, in their own wisdom (or lack of it) give only half information and seek answer. They don't realise that any answer given on the basis of such half-information will be of no use to them.

Therefore, in their own interest, the querist should come out with complete facts (without missing any point - for any missing link will also be vital) to get an appropriate answer.

In the alternative, the Experts should insist on such additional information before jumping to answer a query.

In any case, as per the information provided by you, the course which you are pursuing WILL NOT ENTITLE YOU to practice law.
