Misuse of power by the secretary of our housing society

(Querist) 18 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
I am Suresh Nair, residing at Vasai Road, Maharashtra. I have pointed out some unnecessary works carried out without the general body approval by the Secretary of our hsg society. In the AGM also I have strictly objected for further continue of these unnecessary works. They have spend a huge amount for it. General Body members were also against these works. After the AGM, they have cancelled my flat transfer pointing out some shortfall of documents / builder dues etcof the previous owner. I have cleared everything & society has issued an NOC also. This flat is mortgaged by my bank from where i have taken a home loan. Secretary is issuing frequent notices against me and circulating to all members in the housign society. He want to defame me and want to down grade my flat status also by issung freqnet notices to all flat owners. I have attended several SGMs & one AGM in the society. I want to know whetehr the secretary have any right to cancel the transfer of any member? Can I go ahead with any legal action against this person? I have given written complaint to local police station & Dy registrar of housig society also. But, I have not received any favourable action from these authorities.

Thanks & regards,

Suresh Nair
