Many people talk about the order but how many have seen the actual order. The High Court has banned certain sites but there are many sites available. The nature of the Net is such that if you are not allowed to use Microsoft Word, then people will use other word processing software.

Just because a particular road is being used by criminals should the government/Courts ban other normal citizens from using it?

Some corporates want to have extra benefits so they request the judiciary to close the roads near their buildings since they are likely to be targetted by criminals. The judiciary agrees to the request as it is essential but should not the judiciary request such targets to shift themselves to other more secure places to reduce the burden/inconvenience to normal citizens.
It would have been better if the "Ashok Kumar" orders are applicable only to content and addresses than to the whole website. If Times of India publishes something wrong on one page should the Court punish the person who is responsible for writing publishing and also the editor maybe but not the peon and driver who transports the newspaper.

The 'John Doe" orders in the US are at least a little better in this regard as they value the rights of other citizens and not only of the rich citizens who apply to the judiciary for such requests. Just for one movie they banned the whole sites. I wonder whether such movies are really good to see.

The order cannot be a permanent banning and the ban will be revoked in time.

Hundreds of torrent websites are still there from which you can still download documents without any restriction.
