Respected Experts,
I have a query regarding an investment in multiples of crores.
Does an investment by an Indian in an Indian Domestic Business Entity require RBI or any other Govt Clearances before the funds can be received by the Indian Business Entity.
If it is required can I be advised which such Govt. Organizations would be required to approached for clearance.
Regards

Dear Mr.Vishal- Thank you very much for the info, however I would still like to know is there any other Govt Institution of which a clearance for the investment, would be required.

Depends on nature of investment, i.e., investment in the existing industrial/ business entity or start of a new business/ industrial enterprises or company, and the nature of industry, itself.
In this respect, you may better check the Government of India, Ministry ofCommerce & Industry's website of "Investindia" at the page: http://www.investindia.gov.in/?q=investment-opportunities
You can find various industries where you can invest and the guidelines, etc. by clicking on the link of industry you prefer.
However, the most convenient route for investment in any industry of liking by Indians is the purchase of shares through share broking houses.
