Family property

(Querist) 18 June 2012 This query is : Resolved 
The Property of my wife's Mother is an House which is constructed by money received from grandfather,Saving of Mother, loan by bank, and money infused by brother (Rs. 3 lac, Rs. 5 Lac, Rs 4.5 Lac and Rs. 3 Lac resp, presently the house is jointly in the name of Mother and Brother. Her Father died inestate.

What is my wife's right over the property
1. while the mother is alive
2. if her mother dies intestate.
3. if the will of her mother says that the Daughter as Legal heir for her part.

* the money which brother has infused is earned through Illegal Sources and is continued doing the same illegal business He has no other Source of Income and is not in any legal business and employment.

No right while the mother is alive.

If the mother dies intestate, then the daughter will get a share as a class I heir.

If she makes a will then, property will devolve as per the will.
