Personal loan issue

Hi,
I have a query for a personal loan issue with HDFC bank. My brother had taken a loan from HDFC when he was working with IBM in Bangalore last year. At that time he was staying with me but few months back he left the job and left bangalore. He does not stay with me anymore nor he is in any contact with me. Now, the bank people are harrassing me to pay the pay the loan EMI as he has defaulted. They are threatning my old parents when I am not at home that they will take my car and will cause ruckus infront of my house. I am no way involved in the loan. I have no signature neither my name is mentioned in the loan. Can they harrass me for my brothers loan or take action against me? What should I do? Can I file FIR against the recovery people?

contact a local lawyer . issue legal notice to HDFC bank . also lodge police complaint aginst HDFC bank recovery agents for harassing your old parents .
you are not bound to pay your brothers loan . it is a personal loan . only your brother is liable to make payment . the bank recovery agents is taking resort to these tactics as it is an unsecured laon and bank has no security

ANSWER:NO!THEY CAN NOT DO SO.YES!YOU CAN.
