Lowering mrp manually

Dear all,

Can MRP be lowered on packs by writing it with a marker next to the original MRP on the pack?

we want to reduce the MRP on whole sale packs which are preprinted. Since we are reducing the price, can it be strike off by putting a cross mark with a permanent marker and writing the revised MRP next to it?

MRP stands for Maximum Retail Price

but there is no restriction in selling the product below MRP

you cannot interfere with the Batch No., Mfg Date and Expiry Date

However, you may fix your own selling price...
