Agreement to sell

(Querist) 12 September 2012 This query is : Resolved
I have signed an agreement to sell for my DDA janta flat with roof rights for Rs.15L. The buyer, a property dealer, and I had orally agreed that he would make the payment of outstanding installments plus interest thereon and get the property converted into free hold. He has paid a sum of Rs.5.6L on this. He now wants to pay me Rs 15L-Rs7L that he has already paid me-Rs5.6L ie Rs2.4L. Can he do this. Can I renege on the agreement on the ground of short payment.

the purchaser is bound by terms of agreement . insist that full payment is made as per contract . also interest as specfied in contract . contact local lawyer before you decide to cancel agreement . need to peruse the agreement
