Dear Sir,
would like legal help. Detail as under-
I am based at Pune and presently working with one of software company as GM.since last 6 months.Previously was appointed in Pune by Delhi based company as AVP.Since Delhi based company has not paid salary to me and other people I had filed a recovery notice to them. I was neither terminated nor I had resigned from company,but since no reply to my mails and no salary I had joined other company.I had explained in detail to CEO of my present company.
HR-Manager last week informed CEO of my present company all false and baseless things about me which I has already discussed with my CEO.CEO has shared mail with me. My query is-
1.Can I file defamation case against HR Manager and Other Directors of my previous company?
2. Can case be filed at Pune.
3.What court fees I will have to pay for it.
4. Under what sections can I file case.

after issue of recovery notice file legal case for recovery of your outstanding dues .
as far as defamation case is concerned contact local lawyer in pune . case can be filed in pune .
you can file suit for damages .
Under Criminal Law, section 499 IPC defines defamation as - "Whoever, by words either spoken or intended to be read, or by signs or by visible representations, makes or publishes any imputation concerning any person intending to harm, or knowing or having reason to believe that such imputation will harm, the reputation of such person, is said, except in the cases hereinafter excepted, to defame that person." You can file defamation case u/s 500 IPC. Court fee is very nominal like Rs.10/- in West Bengal. To get a conviction under section 500 IPC is very difficult so better engage some lawyer of standing.
