Hi,

what are wife's right on husband house? If the house is in Mothers name and we are staying together. Everyday Mother in law fights with Wife and tell her to get lost from here. What do wife do in this case?

The wife has no right in her mother in law's house. However she can file DV case claiming provision for alternative accommodation.

Many judgments have been delieved on this subject and conclusion of those is that it is the duty of the husband to provide a shared household to his wife at par with his status but the daughter in law cannot claim her legal right in her parents in law's house.
