Defence pension to widow after divorce from re-marriage

(Querist) 02 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
My sister's husband died while on duty (not in action) in Army in 2001. She started getting Pension for herself and her daughter. She re-married in 2010 and Pension was promptly stopped. The re-marriage was not a success and she got divorced in 2012. Is there any chance to get her pension again? What are the formalities to do? Kindly reply

no

Army authorities can consider the situation as a special case otherwise chances are remote. Your sister should make a representation to the Commanding Officer of the unit of her deceased husband with all documentary evidence with copies to Army HQ and CRO and should wait for their replies and should do as further advised to her.
