Trouble at home with in-laws

Early in March 2012 i had been involved in afamily trouble with ny wife and in-laws. Then I used to live with my in-laws. Once during an altercation with my wife I slapped her and then they jointly beat me severely making the room dark, as I cannot see in the darkness. But they made my wife hospitalised and filed an FIR with POlice. They arressted me while I was myself at the Police Station. It is 498b case and I was jailed for one month. When I got bail, they brought me home and threatened me. Now I am living with my wife from the same day after coming from jail. It is evident that my in-laws initiated the case actionand made her sign. The case is still going on and my wife is living with me. What will happen now and what action I can take against my in-laws, specially my father in law?

when your wife was hospitalised there must have been a doctor report . obtain medical records from hospital as to nature of her injuries . . what are the allegations in FIR? you have to fight 498A case on merits . dont file any case against your in laws . it will further aggravate the situation . consult a local lawyer

What I think that when you are accused in that case all record including medical one must be available on court's file so you need not go to hospital for this purpose.
If better sense has prevailed between you two spouses the case may be managed for closer but if you carry a sense of revenge against your in laws things improved now may re worsen. Revenge is not moving forward in life as it engages you in going backward,so better drop to remember past incidence especially those which were bad.

Negative Evidence will finish ur 498b, and Live Life happily with ur Wife.
As such in dark room of ur house in law, So many persons were there, so though they witness against you, Question arises, what they all were doing??
A single person cannot overcome so many!!!
So case will not stand.
