If your son is minor then police role is not appropriate.
Practically it appears you have lost the battle.

You should move an application under section 97 of Criminal procedure code before local SDM and should bring your son before you so that you may persuade him not to adopt the path which is ultimately not in his interest.

I think your son is not illegally confined in custody of jain sadhu where you both spouses sent him for assimilation of rituals of Jain Dhrma. In my opinion,in given facts,you should seek legal custody of your child under Guardian of Wards Act as neither section 97 Cr.P.C nor a Writ of Habeas Corpus could be of any use in the light of true facts stated by you.
