Purchase of flat in chs

Sir,
I have purchased a flat in the jointly with myself and my husband and got it registered.
The Secretary of Hsg. Soiety is refusing to transfer the share certificate/flat in the joint names. Request advise further action for transfer of flat in both names.

Verify the constitution/byelaws of the said housing society prohibiting joint ownership.

A housing society cannot prohibit a citizen from an act which ordinary law permits.

what are the reasons for refusal . have you paid transfer charges ? havwe you submitted undertaking and completed other formailites for transfer . ?

if you have done so then complain to registrar against society

I do not know the law enacted in India that prohibits joint buying of any property.

The society can not frame any such by laws,if they are framed ,they are illegal.
