P Goverdhan Reddy (Querist) 05 July 2013
sir, thanks a lot for response. But doubt is that whether posts made in FB are considerable in court of law as strong evidence. and police to lodge FIR against inidividual posted in FB by the deceased.
ajay sethi (Expert) 05 July 2013
yes it is strong evidence .
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 05 July 2013
The posts on facebook by one are acceptable evidences in legal proceedings.
Adv Archana Deshmukh (Expert) 05 July 2013
How much weight will be given to such posts on facebook will depend upon overall facts and circumstances of the case.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 05 July 2013
It cannot be concluded that the posts on face-book are exclusively conclusive evidence to initiate criminal action against those persons. The posts are to be verified, the time is to be matched, the presence of the deceased is to be verified, the presence of his family members is to be verified, the fact of enmity/mense rea is to be taken into consideration and so on.
