(Querist) 30 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
My father acquired a lands from my grandfather. My grandfather died intestate. My father got that lands registered in his name after some years. I want to know can i and my brother claim this lands as it was made by my grandfather who didnt made a will in his lifetime.

If your father had acquired the property from your grand father, then the said property is the private/separate property of your father. Nobody can claim any share from your father in the said property, during his life time. Your father is the absolute owner of the same and has every legal right to do whatever that he wants to do with it.
