Need opinion for a criminal case

hii!
i am a graduation student living in pune.
unfortunately i got stuck up in a street assault.police arrested me and my friend with charges 324/34 and 504.now my friend got away from here to jammu and he is not coming back..the case is getting old with no progress..i m worried because accuser is some stranger guy and i have not seen him over an year neither i visited court..
My lawyer says he will end up this case after separation and it will take up to 6 months,but i have no longer trust on him..
NEED OPINION how to get rid of this case and can i travel abroad with these charges???

1.Learn to trust upon your lawyer as his advice is correct.Unless court does not separate your trial can not move on till co accused appear.All this take time.
2.Unless court has granted you bail on condition that you can not go abroad,you are free to abroad.

Normally, the case will proceed when all the accused are present. However, any accused is not available/ traceable, the case shall be split and tried separately.
In that sense, what your advocate said is correct.
You file petition to the court for abroad travel.

thank u sir,i appreciate ur concern.
further,if my lawyer files the petition for separation,will it issue warrant on my accused friend and what time it will take after the separation?also,i want the reference of any good descent lawyer in pune for this case.
